For the following purposes: to raise accountability and public participation in the implementation processes of the apartment allocation/distribution in Gyumri which is going to take place in 2011.The project also aims to continue providing free of charge legal assistance to beneficiaries and inform them about the laws and government decision regarding apartment distribution in Gyumri. The proposal includes the following main activities – continue legal aid to beneficiaries, continue wide media outreach (including: organizing TV programs about the process of apartment allocation, sending regular emails about the project updates and main violations through mailing lists). The project director will attend the meetings of the commission in charge of apartment allocation under Ministry of Urban Development. It is also planned to train 9 volunteers who will assist in the implementation of the project. The organization will continue paying special attention to the PR component of the project. At least two press conferences will be organized during the project to introduce public with the project and its results. Also, the organization will periodically organize TV shows, round-tables, will publish booklets and will disseminate statements about the project and the revealed violations. The organization will also closely collaborate with Communities Finance Officers Association and online web sites, such as www.hetq.am and www.lragir.am. Also, the web site of the NGO - www.shirakcentre.org - will be periodically updated
