During the grant period the following activities will be conducted: to monitor national machineries and policy developments on violence against women and include that information on the website; to gather and solicit information from NGOs, academic institutions and government agencies in the country to include on the website; to coordinate and potentially collaborate with on-line information resources in the region; through the mentoring component, organize on-line discussion forums to address new developments in country or the region; to select information, links and draft narrative to include on the site; to consult with NWP and MAHR for a final determination of information to put up on the site. Maintenance of the website will be accomplished with MAHR taking the lead in maintaining the main body of the website including the sections on Domestic Violence, Sexual Harassment, Sexual Assault, Trafficking, International Law, Advocacy Tools, NGO Resources and Research Gateways. The website must reflect changes and amendments to laws, new policies, new research and new advocacy strategies and must be a complete and current resource. A new section will be added to the country pages describing cases, true stories, and success stories, statistics which could be used in different ways and at different levels: lobbing, educational programs, publications, combating against VAW, Trafficking in Human beings

For the following purposes: to prepare and publish a monthly periodical the “Human Rights Bulletin”. The Bulletin will introduce the results of monitoring of the implementation of the country’s commitments as of a member of the Council of Europe. It will also serve a forum for covering the activities of human rights (HR) organizations and reporting on current issues and problems in the area of the HR in Armenia. The collaboration will be established among all legal and professional lawyers unions, as well as the respective committees of the National Assembly and representatives of the legislative organs. The electronic version will be available on www.hra.am Internet site. The Bulletin will be published in Armenian and English. The advertisement will be organized before each publication through newspapers. After each publication the round table discussion will be conducted related published issues. The Bulletin circulation rate of 500 copies will be distributed to NGOs, governmental bodies, international organizations, libraries and other interested institutions both in Yerevan and in the regions. The European Commission in the framework of EIDHR/MICRO/ARMENIA/2003 as a supports to this initiative funded the project which aim to organize an addressed, diversified training in the sphere of protection of human rights in order to move the process of raising awareness from campaigning level to the area of practice. Training will organize in Yerevan and in different marzes for young people and the vulnerable groups, which included, poor people, refugee disabled persons, elderly, minorities. Parallel to the transfer of knowledge and information, organization will provide legal assistance in the sphere of protection of human rights through formation of action groups in the marzes as well as through teaching the skills mastering the mechanisms of human rights protection. For encouraging modern literary trends and diverse literary expressions in regions of Armenia, as well as promoting cultural awareness and relations among modern writers from regions and readers. The project includes organization of literary contest among contemporary writers from all marzes of Armenia coupled with 6 seminars on contemporary literature issues devoted to audience development in Tavush, Gegharkunik and Syunik marzes. As a result of the contest an anthology of selected works will be published at circulation of 1000 copies and will be distributed among all seminar participants (200 copies), Gala ceremony guests (50 copies), authors included in the anthology (each author will receive 5 copies (150 copies)), regional public and school libraries (600 copies)
