The Partnership for Open Society Initiative, representing more than 60 civil society organizations, is pleased to invite you to participate in public discussion series titled “Draft of New Electoral Code and Issues of Realization of Electoral Right in Armenia” in Yerevan, Gyumri and Vanadzor.
The discussion series aim to present the challenges of Draft of Electoral Code and issues of ensuring effective electoral mechanisms. The initiative endeavors to create a forum for discussion and debate among all interested stakeholders in Yerevan, Gyumri and Vanadzor, where the head of local self-government bodies shall be elected directly by electors as it is in Yerevan.
In the framework of the meeting series, the member organizations of Partnership for Open Society Initiative will be hosted by their local partner organization to discuss the changes of national and local importance.
The event in Yerevan will take place on March 15, 2016, at 14:45, at Congress Hotel, Ball room (1st Italy Street, Yerevan).
The event in Gyumri will take place on March 16, 2016, at 14:00, at Araks Hotel (Gorku Street, 25 Building, Gyumri).
The event in Vanadzor will take place on March 18, 2015 at Green House Hotel (8 Banaki Street, Vanadzor)
Government officials, parliamentarians, representatives of diplomatic missions, international organizations, local self-government bodies, civil society and media are invited to attend the event.
Draft agenda of the event is enclosed. Simultaneous translation from Armenian to English and vice versa is provided in Yerevan.
