Open Society Foundations-Armenia and Artak Yengoyan- PhD in Economics, independent researcher, cordially invite you to take part in a discussion entitled “Subsidizing and Financing Schemes in Agriculture. Artak Yengoyan studies the role of agriculture in Armenia’s economy, analyzed current financing mechanisms of agricultural sector, state policies meant to promote export of agricultural products and existing international experience in the field. Recommendations for the improvement of state policies in the field are presented.
Artak Yengoyan holds a PhD in Economics from Yerevan State University and an MA in Economics and Management Science from Humboldt University in Berlin. He is currently a faculty member at Yerevan State University, department of Economics and works at ProCredit Bank Armenia as Head of ‘Organizational and Compliance Department’. Apart from his academic work, Artak Yengoyan has extensive work experience with the Armenian government and international organizations. Artak’s research interest include finance and banking, capital markets, integration processes, international trade and finance, econometric analysis and forecasting with linear and non-linear models, macroeconomics.
Panel discussion will be moderated by Mariam Matevosyan, Policy Fellowship Program Coordinator at OSF-Armenia. Short presentations will be followed by a Q&A session and open discussion with Government officials, representatives of international agencies, civic initiatives, NGOs, independent experts, researchers, and the wider public. The working language of the discussion is Armenian. Simultaneous translation is provided.
This policy research paper has been developed in the framework of Open Society Foundations-Armenia’s ‘Policy Research Fellowship Initiative’ , which aims to support independent policy researchers, foster participation of civil society in the process of public policy development and stimulate debates at all levels of society around the most important policy areas.
