Open Society Foundations-Armenia and Artak Kyurumyan (independent researcher) cordially invite you to take part in a discussion entitled “Public Debt Management in Armenia. Analysis of Recent Policy Decisions”. The discussion will take place on April 28th 2014, from 4-6 p.m. at Ani Plaza Hotel, Ani Hall. Address: Sayat-Nova str., building 19.
Mr. Kyurumyan has looked at the management of the Republic of Armenia public debt, new borrowings, and debt volume in the context of policy developments in Armenia, international experience and findings of the current research carried out during October 2013 – March 2014. Compatibility of policy decisions regarding public debt management with the goals and objectives defined in strategic and medium term documents has also been studied. Targeted recommendations to raise the effectiveness of the system are presented.
Artak Kyurumyan holds an MBA degree from Tulane University has conducted number of policy research projects and has an extensive experience in working with state and international agencies. His research interests include public debt management, budgeting practices, public finance management health and education financing.
The policy research paper has been developed in the framework of Open Society Foundations-Armenia’s ‘Policy Reserach Fellowship Initiative ‘ that aims to support independent policy researchers, foster participation of civil society in the process of public policy development and stimulate debates at all levels of society around the most important policy areas.
